This project was a part of my senior design showcase at Anderson University.
For this project, I was tasked with solving a problem in society with design. I decided to tackle food insecurity, which is an especially prevalent issue in Anderson, Indiana.
I spent months researching food insecurity and interviewing local food pantry and food bank administrators. I even volunteered at my local food pantry for a few weeks to get a first-hand account of the pantry operations and individuals being served.
For my final product, I designed and prototyped an app that will help pantries manage their inventory, make requests from food banks when resources are low, and deliver food straight to individuals or drop-off locations.
Every aspect of this project was researched, written, designed, printed, mounted, and presented by me, with feedback from professors and peers.
